One of the first things he did in office, like days in, was stop legal residents from 'Muslim countries" from returning to their homes, families, jobs, etc. Biden had to reverse it. It split up families.

    He's a straight up racist.

Do you think Bill g8s or anyone else would stand up after being audited, home raided, phones tapped etc etc etc? Somehow Trump is still kicking and for all intents and purposes untouchable

Included Venezuela too. That was pretty retarded for sure. It's not like every other president hasn't been racist as well though. Bill Clinton famously told Arsenio Hall to get on his knees and shine his shoes before he would appear on his show

I have. The entire retarded commission was justified by a report paid for by his political opposition, facilitated by the FBI and an ex-British spy and written by a drunk who had no Russian political connections and hadn't been to the country in over 20 years.

If you'd actually read the findings, you'd be able to see that there was never any evidence provided for any sort of 'Russian interference', the sources are literally just 'the FBI/CIA/ODNI believes this'.

lol except I gave you an example of how he did deviate. Losing capability to gather intel for your nation effects foreign policy greatly.

    Lol 'never any evidence'

You would claim any witness, any document, is fraudulent, because you believe these organizations are de facto lying. You're claiming a conspiracy without providing evidence.

You also have no idea how our government works. It wasn't 'paid for by the opposition' wtf lol. The senate has all sorts of committees it forms for various things.

Not starting any new wars is revolutionary when you're the only one who's done it since Jimmy Carter.

He tried to minimise involvement in Syria and Iraq but was undermined by his own cabinet and military.
He tried to end the occupation of Afghanistan but kind of fucked it up, even if he were 'allowed' to. Again, the military did what it wanted and later openly bragged about feeding him false information and playing 'shell games' with troop numbers.
He tried to normalise relations with Russia but was undermined by the entire state and media apparatus.

He fucked up a whole lot of things too, but the point wasn't that it was necessarily a change for the better, but that it took an outsider to do ANYTHING different.

I never voted for Bill Clinton but yeah, old white boomers tend to be pretty racist and bigoted.

See above. Literally the only reason we know MKULTRA was real and not a paranoid fantasy is because the CIA missed a box when they were destroying evidence.

You can't really give his credit for "trying" something when he failed and you really can't know someone's complete motivations, you can just Guage the results. He did end thr occupation of Afghanistan after taking the initiative to put mote troops there. Least he spent alot less time bombing weddings in Yemen.

Didn't Jimmy Carter bomb Honduras or Guatemala or some shit? You can't give Trump credit for continuing the same policies but assuming he tried not to. His doctrine was less meddling in other countries but he definitely continued in alot of ways. Wars have ebb and flow, Trump allowed this to continue before completely fucking up the exit.

He did seem to try to normalize relations with Moscow, to really nobodies benefit but Russia which was a departure in policy. Hardly an amazing and brave move, especially in hindsight. I guess we can agree he made some slight variations (like all presidents do) in foreign policy but I can't think of one foreign policy decision that was a net gain for America/the world other than tearing up the TPP on his first day in office.

That was my original point, that elected officials have little control over those things, and very few even try

Ya fair, Trump definitely went out on his own to move the American embassy to Jerusalem and recognize it as the capital, as well as tearing up the jcpoa or whatever Iran deal. I'm sure his predecessors went out unilaterally on some things too.

Can you think of any net positive outcomes of foreign policy under Trump? I liked the spirit of the China trade rhetoric but he obviously had no idea what he was getting into. Steve menuchin probably helped him abit but it fell on its face and failed, only really hurting Americans. I guess that's the problem when u make moves on your own accord: you don't get good advice and frequently end up fucking up. The courts seemed to be the one place where he didn't have issues changing the guard

The possible long term benefits can not be realized when all decisions were reversed in January of 2020.
