Here we have writers, poets, artists, musicians, programmers, thinkers, chemists and all sorts of great people yet there exists no cohesive collective struggle to benefit our existence as a whole.
Those of us that don't have a lot of capital do have lots of free time. We are squandering our gifts and intelligence by competing against each other in the global capitalist market when we should be brainstorming ideas and cashing in.
And I don't mean carding, fraudstering, selling drugs or elaborate hesits. We are better than that. There must exist something that would yield so much profit that we could divie it up without a care In the world instead of scrounging and hoarding every dollar competitively.
I've been trying to think of SOMETHING to bring to the table that would benefit everyone but my brain alone can't figure it out so I hope to just start a discussion.
Some ideas off the top of my head;
-E-cig liquid manufacturing
-writing and selling ebooks with unique useful information
-MMORPG stuff (selling runscape gold, WoW, LoL)
-making indie games

2016-03-19 at 2:22 AM UTCI like the idea of a collective project. Like HTS mentioned, the Totse RPG was a thing long in the making and a good idea in general. But we lack the collective discipline and drive to make something together.
Honestly, we do have a pretty decent amount of potential between the most of us but it's going to be hard directing it into something productive. -

Actually I had a similar thought myself. The porn industry has incredibly low barriers of entry. An HD camera, a few models and a good website or a partner like pornhub and we could start a porn studio and churn out all kinds of crazy sex videos with an international flair. We just need a poster from Brazil or south america and we pretty much have every demographic coveredgood idea but realistically I don't think It'll work out due to power struggle and butthurt and shit

They should have used the BYOND engine. What was the game genre? I'm picturing some kind of space invader type thing but with triangles and cough syrup. RPG's are not meant to be made by people with no game dev experience because they are impossible to finish and plan out properly.the Totse RPG was a thing long in the making and a good idea in general. Is there any information for this TOTSE RPG?? pictures?. I cant imagine what it would be about. It's hard to get people motivated without adequate capital but hopefully we can start a discussion and get some ideas brewing. It can't hurt at the very least and it doesnt cost us any money (except Lanny). I'm hoping we can come up with something that doesn't require a TON of effort and money like developing vidya gameswe should build a triangle

Yeah, understood. I was part of a reddit group based around drug discussion that had a donation fund set up (a public bitcoin wallet) for some user that got hospitalized and a Mod ended up stealing a few thousand dollars worth of BTC and vanishing. I've been a part of a few collective efforts and it can be difficult in many aspects. I believe a good idea that doesn't require all of one persons effort, work, money is something that can't be stolen and what our unique group has as an advantage over any other dumbed down userbase of any social media infested forum out there. For example, the 4chan community has gone on to create all kinds of successful projects that boils down to a few commited indivuals from all walks of life.
These ideas arent easily stolen and can be copied by anyone but the people that copy us wont be us and wont have the same competitive edge that we do. -

2016-03-19 at 7:13 AM UTCi would do this if i could see the other people in person and was sure that i was working with competent people; part of the reason i pissed on school is because i was always paired with dorks who wouldn't do shit (what's funny is, i wasn't popular at all, but everyone who was, you know, normal, would actually split the work 50/50, or actually try to take on more work; guess stratification has its roots.)

I'm pretty sure the team that made this game was all people from 4chan and never actually met one another. Visual novels aren't that involved though.

it would be the greatest "crew" ever, its not a heist and its totally legal. We could do this better than anyone else.
