The forum is down because upstream ISPs have blackholed routes to our network. When a computer tries to connect to our servers, the global network has no way to reach them. This is a deliberate action from our host.

They are not answering my emails and I do not know why this has been done. However, prior to going down, we were being targeted by a DDoS attack and other forms of attempted network intrusion. It is likely that these efforts disrupted the entire ISP and forced them to blackhole our network to protect other customers from disruption.
Looks like their ISP shitcanned them due to them being more trouble than they were worth. Being a lightning rod for DDoS attacks, etc. -

looks like trannies bought botnet time and are hammering the site with something absurd like 10gbps so the service provider has had to nullroute the IPs kf uses to stop their routers from going down
if keffals is openly saying he's behind it he can go to jail
the level of DDoS that forces a service provider to nullroute is not cheap and not sustainable; the only way they win is if the provider caves and decides hosting kf is more trouble than it's worth, and it has to happen in the day or two before the attackers can no longer maintain the DDoS -

I think they're hosting using a VPS, essentially a virtual machine so there's no physical access - when the network interface goes down they can't touch it without the service provider getting involved and that may involve physically sending someone to the datacentre, ie. expensive.
They did say during the outage that they'd managed to get access and create snapshots though, and it's up now. At least until troon squad can crowdfund enough to rent a botnet againThe following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

They run their own servers, co-located. The forum is physically separate hardware from the fedi & git stuff, probably email too (they generously offer free email addresses on quite a few domains). -

It was some of the worst shit I have ever seen in my entire life, I couldn't even enjoy it ironically or cringe watch it was SOOOOO BAD.
