if it grows too many leaves I chop them off and use those but I mostly leave it alone

I lost mine in the GREAT TEXAS FREEZE OF 2021, I'd grown it from seed. It was about 3 yrs old. I knew the freeze was coming but I didn't want to bring it inside because I'm a bit of a germaphobe and didn't want the thing bringing in all kinds of bug life in the soil etc.
