How a certain modern nation hijacked the identity of smaller neighboring nation and claimed it as their own instead

The Indus river is a river that flows in Pakistan.
Therefore the country that is called "India" is not really India. If we want to get technical, Pakistan is the real India.
However, since that name has already been hijacked (and ruined) we wouldn't want it back, anyway.
Not to mention the name of the religion that those people adhere to ("Hinduism") is also taken from the same river in Pakistan.
That religion was brought to the region by the Aryan invaders. It is funny that the "Indians" who adhere to "Hinduism" call Islam the religion of invaders in a pathetic attempt to look down on Pakistanis for adhering to another religion, when in reality, the religion they adhere to was also brought by invaders. So their argument is moot.
The Vedic era that shaped their religion was started by a civilization that was centered in the Panjab (the Land of the Five Rivers) which is where my ancestors come from. The name "Panjab" was given by the Islamic Persian conquerors in the late 16th century and it comes from the words "panj" (meaning "five") and "ab" (meaning "water").
The ancient Greeks referred to the same region as "Pentapotamía" in as early as 180 B.C. which has the exact same meaning as the word in the Persian language. That the Persians came up with the name of the region where my ancestors come from is therefore a myth and instead was a translation of an earlier name. -
