I've had people tell me I should get tested for ADD but the whole doctor > referral > psych sessions seems like more trouble than it's worth

It's not too hard here if you have insurance/medical coverage. Biggest hassle is not being able to get refills and needing a new script every month.
they're adding RE5 Wesker to Dead by Daylight and while his voice acting is exactly on target, his little 'hmmph's remind me way too much of the old Hey Dad dubs

Does it seem to you like Australia has a higher proportion of child abusers? It seems like closed communities have higher proportions, such as islands and native reserves, do you notice this is the case in AU?

Aboriginal communities are notorious for it, but in general I don't think so. I've known a couple of molestees but they were Asian so I dunno how much of a datapoint that is. I think DCS and the police are much more intrusive into family matters than in other countries though, so numbers might be higher just because there's more enforcement

That's good I've just seen a bit about Australian pedophiles so thought there might be a greater percentage of them per capita. In Canada Inuits are frequently referred to as "skinuits" because of the ridiculously high number of sex offenders. I remember reading about one who waited until all the towns men were out on the annual seal hunt then literally went door to door raping everything.
I think the same kind of isolation factors apply to AU abbos and Canadian inuit. Both were pretty isolated for like 50k years and have only begun mobilizing very recently. My mom did some work with inuit kids and I remember her telling me about a community that decided they couldn't deal with X number of kids so they put them on a school bus and drove them farther north and dropped them off to fend for themselves. Some were as young as 8 and they allowed them to get high on gasoline and other things beforehand, likely sovthey wouldn't fight as much or know what was going on. Kinda sad.

The first 3 games were somewhat realistic which added to the real visceral horror. I found this aspect to the games made it more scarier, as if you are the player fighting for survival. The music was creepy as fuck too

I think there are just a lot of famous and outlandish ones like Rolf Harris, who was famous for writing childrens' songs and wrote songs about his accusers when he was in jail, and my guess is that's because a lot of our media apparatus was modeled on the BBC
