2022-08-07 at 2:36 PM UTCThe only logical stance on theism is agnosticism.
There is no evidence either proving or disproving any deity, and any belief otherwise is an emotional argument not worth addressing.
Religion is no different from any government or corporation. All are power structures that require the spreading of propaganda to maintain their authority.
The entire concept of a deity is merely a cultural construct invented to help us understand the world around us. Man created God in his image, because this perceived reality coincides with the observed reality that human entities are capable of manipulating the world around them. Every mythological entity, be it God or dragons, are just abstractions of the human experience. In that way, they are valuable tools that help us to better understand ourselves as a species. It is 'ancient wisdom'. These things are worth learning about.
But they are not worth believing in. People who believe in their religion as truth are either stupid, uneducated, or both. -

One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.

The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word -

2022-08-07 at 5:09 PM UTCYou'll notice how offended religious people get when you tell them they are illogical.
They aren't actually able to argue their stance logically, since it was not a stance originally built on logic.
Their beliefs are purely emotional. -

Nothing offends me. Anger is fear announced.
I understand the logic of the universe
Science and Religion are like peanut butter and chocolate, good on their own, some people are allergic to one or the other or both. Some people like reeces peanut butter cups.
But if you take a metaphysical step back they are both concepts existing in our reality and simply reducing it to a black and white issue of 'WELL IF YOU BELIEVE THAT SHIT YOU"RE A FUCKING IDIOT' is silly. Eastern religions have a totally different way of viewing the world and people and their spirituality religiosity.
The western mentality is completely different. We might see it as MUSLIMS AND jediS HATE EACH OTHER but at the end of the day they all believe in God and think anyone that doesn't is even more "crazy" than a terrorist or human rights abusing soldier.

Callous attitude that is parallel to religious fundamentalists.
"I see the forest for the trees man"
"I am above it all"
"I see the real truth now"
In the end you are disseminating your bias blindly, and without logic.
It's funny that you bring up 'science' at all.
The antithesis to religion is not science, and I never said it was.
But your posit is very interesting. What a wild way to frame the world. Religion VS science.
As if logic doesn't apply to both. -
2022-08-07 at 5:48 PM UTCIt's not a versus and I never said it was. You just have negative pre conceptions which is the same mental shiggery that religious people have against people that don't adhere to their culture and custom.
It's all a big circle or some kind of other geometric shape(s)
I know one thing for certain and that is God is 100% Chinese
