I Wes messing with the positive battery terminal last night and it probably triggered an error code.
Unfortunately my OBD2 scanner does not come with any software for strictly American cars so I disconnected the negative battery terminal to let the car's computer reset.
I'll know soon if that does the trick and if it doesn't or comes back on Ill stop at the car parts store and have them scan it for me.
Since I have her car this morning In going to recheck all the fluids once more too.
I Wes unaware she took the Subaru and woke up at 11am or I'd have gotten up a little earlier and tried to check out more things on her car and make a video for you guys on how to do a car inspection.

disconnect the battery for 30 mins and then hook it back up, if it's a error the check engine light shouldn't come back on..I know you said you did but be sure to leave it for a good 30mins

I disconnected the negative for half an hour but it might not have been long enough...
I can't be fucked as it's too close to work so In going to leave a couple minutes early and stop at autozonr so they can read/reset it.

Tried the old "on - off - on - off" trick a dozen times and that didn't do it.
Unhooked the battery and made sure to drain any residual juice this time.
Checked all the fluids except the transmission fluid because I couldn't find the dip stick.
Everything looks good so I have no qualms about driving it to the auto store.

Turns out there is not a dip stick for the transmission on that car. Anyways, If I take off today and it shifts funny I'll know without looking.

sell it fast, a car with no dip stick is only made for dipsticks,, don't be or date a dipstick

The guy at the autoparts store reset the light for me and it hasn't returned.
His coworker drives the same car so he knew exactly what I Wes talking about.
Everything seemed golden and Im at work now.
15 minutes behind on my weekly goal of OT now nut that's an easy fix.
Hope everyone has a hood day.
