13 step programme

There was also a moment...an epiphany if you like...I would be driving home everyday from work and all I was thinking about was that first drink I was going to have when I got home...

I'd call the wife 5 mins before I got there and tell her to have my 1 litre glass (wetted and then chilled in the freezer) filled and ready for when I walked through the door...There was a table by the door and I'd walk in and there it would be...I'd down it in one go, make the "ahhhh" sound and then tell her to pour me another while I took a shower.

Well the epiphany was finally realizing that wasn't really a healthy/normal way to behave.

    Me or Opey?

I don't even have the desire to do that anymore so likely not. I've had a six pack (bottles) of blue moon in my fridge for 6 months because I fancied a Belgian wheat one day...there is still 5 of the 6 left in there 6 months later because I just don't have the desire anymore.

Very very typical stuff. Bitch have my drink ready when I get there! Otherwise I will strike you.

There is very a much a reason you quit drinking. It because you turned 50.

I don't consider myself one no...I'm open to proof there is a higher power...until I have that proof though I don't believe it. An atheist is very ANTI religion...I'm ok with people choosing to believe in it just don't try and force it on me or tell me why I'm wrong for not believing...and then having no evidence/proof to back up your claim I am wrong...gtf out of here as me old mum used to say etc.

Well in my early 20s (my really heavy drinking period) I was in the hospital a couple of times for alcohol poisoning...that didn't happen in my 30s, 40s. The age although obviously related wasn't the main reason...but yes of course it was a factor.

I have been doing like this for the past year

but since quitting my job I have much less of a desire to get constantly drunk and didn't even drink for a week. I thought I would start drinking more but the only booze I bought was when I got the TWEAK so I could try to sleep when it wears off

Not gonna drink much this weekend, won't buy more, I don't see the point in quitting drugs or stopping forever. Just do less of it or don't buy more, simple as. Buy a gram of pure uncut heroin and when you run out, you're out. Does that make you an addict?

I puked 20 times last week from drinking until I was puking up stomach acid, last time that happened I needed IV fluids.
and every time I drink on TWEAK now it just makes my stomach feel weird after a while, it's not even enjoyable, just helps take the edge off stimulant

I drink a lot of water on TWEAK

a big jug and I take constant swigs. Water is life. Drinking soda and caffeine is less enjoyable

a hot drink doesn't sound appealing but an iced tea would be good right now
