    This is what it is. I mean I guess it could be argued that all music is supposed to manipulate emotions of course but yes, a lot of worship/Christian music is specifically designed to play off people's emotions, as well as the actual theatre of it when you see it performed live.

    Again not saying that "regular" music can't have the same components and have crowds of people all singing together in unison because well no shit that's every concert ever basically, BUT, when it's all to a higher power it feels very culty and awkward from an outsider's perspective, because, it is, and I get to have a valid opinion on this because I've been on both sides.

    For sure can give you the goosebumps tingly powerful comoradadarie vibes when you all feel AS ONE. That's why they do it. Tugging on the heart strings. The in unison singing songs are almost always exclusively the slower/emotional songs
