For the sake of Douglas I'll share one brief story, one FOND memory I have is when we would be on tinychat on Sunday mornings still drunk from the night before (I can't really do that anymore as I'm too hungover and WEAK), but back when we did that and it would be a few others, whoever was clever that day, daykrew, and he told us about Dan's and Fran's these two restaurants in Austin. Well he wanted to go get grits from Dan's and I guess I don't remember exactly how it went but I think he called in or one of us did and tried requesting a MASSIVE grits order to-go for like a family reunion or whatever, but they wouldn't allow it since their GRITS TRUCK hasn't come in yet. Apparently their grits were so popular that they had a truck that would deliver exclusively grits.
That's kinda the whole story and I'm probably butchering it as like I said we were all very fucked up but perhaps Luigi or someone else might remember it better. I think he was on the phone with them for a good 15-20 minutes though making it a big ordeal.
That's one memory that became a little meme betwixt us for a while. Dan's grits truck. We called Fran's at one point as well but I don't remember why.
