Bought a nice watch to flex in rehab.

For you proles who don't know what automatic movement is, you can do a lot of crack and not hear the ticking that is powered by quartz-battery powered modern models, rather it utilizes a complex set of gears and cogs that wind up through natural movement on the wrist, then release it through 6 ticks per second.
The resulting increase ticks are quieter and produce a sweeping movement classically associated with the Rolex brand in watch making, typically 6 ticks per second. I've never had an automatic watch my birthday is in three weeks so I decided to order it.
I always buy myself a birthday present and I'm proud of myself for not just spending it on drugs even if it was a little pricier than I'm used to spending on a watch (40 or so normally for Timex Expeditions, this was 80) but I wanted to treat myself.

I'm kinda feel embarrassed and ashamed that I was excited about a watch that isn't anything to be proud of. -

Here's the video from Amazon let's see if i can do this right, one of the wheels spins while you move and oyu can see it gyrating to keep time.
It is unreliable in the manner that is off about +/- 50 seconds a week, which isn't IMO bad. -

different watch, I really dind't want those huge numbers on the face, i think the style is "divers" watch so you can idk spin the dial or some gay shit -
2022-07-02 at 10:53 PM UTCI also don't take my wristwatch off ever unless I'm incarcerated, so I really wanted to upgrade from these that i've had and left in wisconsin at my mom's house (i have 3, 1 is blue, 1 is black and the other is white face like an school clock growing up kinda look but a more minimalist style)
So it's an upgrade for me. I also don't like being really high or meditating and hearing the click click click of the second hand on quartz style watches
The one I have right now are a 15$ watch that has different colors like a rainbow of colors and no brand and is super cheap and makes me FEEL gay with a plastic black band and a baby blue colored minute hand, a pink hour hand and a purple minute hand, with no numbers at all just different color | for the hours and || for the quarter hours and ya it's SHIT!

I only wear black leather bands too. So that's on all 3 + this one of my watches.
I think I have a metal one too with a metal wrist uh... band I guess they're called. too tacky looking and I had that much metal around my wrist. -
2022-07-02 at 10:55 PM UTCi have done the dark dark brown black leather colour you see in picture 1 tho like a dark olive black ish colour, that's ok with me.
I treat my watches like I treat my knives, they're a tool to me and I keep them and use them and when they break, I bury them and mourn and get new ones I'm drawn too, I am in love with most of my weapons and believe they have some kinda like the Japanese Shintoism practices a form of a soul in them.
