same goes for most of these popular, divisive issues like abortion or 'gun control' - only one side gets the bulk of the media representation so it gives the impression that the other doesn't exist. you only ever see the people who work themselves into a fervour over them; you don't often hear from the people who aren't invested enough to go to rallies and protests, and that's by design.

Oh, I see. You are a non thinking person that believes everything you see on social media and propaganda out of Putin’s mouth😂😂😂
I can tell the difference between fact and opinion, how ‘bout you?😂😂

The problem is there are many Americans dumb enough to believe these lies, so that is why we are here.

    on topic:
Clarence Thomas said precedents establishing rights to contraception, same-sex marriage and same-sex intimacy should be reconsidered, proving the ruling could trigger the repeal of a bunch of other protections for racial and ethnic minorities, gay people and others that were established on similar legal grounds as Roe

this possibility is not just paranoid speculation It was spelled out by several Supreme Court justices on Friday all the more disturbing because polls have found a majority of Americans support abortion rights and same-sex marriage. Taking me back to my original statement: democracy is under attack and Republicans are fighting against public opinion and the will of the people they were elected to represent.

I’m worried about what it means for here because abortion was only legalised recently because it was a human rights breach and Westminster stepped in, people didn’t choose it. I feel like my anger issues have been revived. Ik in the past I would have killed myself if I couldn’t get an abortion but didn’t worry too much because I could get the pills online, but if it was banned here and buying pills was no longer an option then I would definitely kill myself.

Do any of you clowns even understand the legal reasoning behind this decision?

What if you were raped in your sleep and didn’t find out until later you were pregnant, then how could you prove rape?

I don’t think they do. Alito based some of his opinion on the legal opinions of a man who hung witches. Ever since abortion was made mostly legal, it has been Mitch McConnell life dream to have a conservative Supreme Court, well he got what he wanted, at the expense of women.

isn’t birth control free and available in Ireland? suicide seems extreme especially when condoms and spermicide are also available options

Yes I have a contraceptive bar in my arm thankfully. In highschool most girls just used condoms which can break, but there was also the fear of getting drunk and being pressured to have unprotected sex or being raped. Stun guns and pepper spray are illegal here but I’d always carry a knife. I went to a Catholic school so they didn’t talk to us about contraception. The point is I would off myself if I couldn’t get an abortion, that’s how I felt in hs.

Tbh I recall the religion teacher saying we should only have sex on our periods or to figure out our cycle when it was least likely we’d conceive, if we didn’t want to have children. They also made us sit in an assembly hall all day with a talk about why abortion was wrong, all day. Only sex ed was one science class when I was 12, they made us watch a woman giving birth. I think that’s dangerous, a way to associate sex with pain.

I was called into the principals office once because of rumours I was a lesbian. There was no reason for it as I wasn’t interested in any of the girls in my school. It was awkward though.

Honestly there’s no ethics question for me, if someone doesn’t think a woman should have the choice to get an abortion then they hate women.

i think anyone who willingly chooses to fuck without some form of birth control/contraception when it is readily available deserves to suffer the consequences of doing so, both men and women. there's pills, condoms, plan b, chugging liquor, etc. no good reason to be knocked up if you really don't wanna be

If u are the type of whore to see abortion as a form of birth control then yeah, men probably do hate you actually, and for pretty good reason
