Liquid iron has a density of around 7.874g/cm³, while flesh is around 1.1g/cm³, so you could probably push yourself up in a vat of liquid iron. How long does a hand or a head skate around for though?
The real issue here isn't the temperature of the molten metal, it's the transfer of energy from to molten metal to the flesh. I'm guessing 1 second to blind the person, 90 seconds to cause them to lose consciousness. On the bright side, I doubt there is any pain past around 5 seconds, as shock causes a reduction in the sensation of pain, and the nerves are killed off so quickly they don't even have time to report back to the brain stem.

The deceased, W, male, born in July 1987, joined the workforce in July 2010 and was a steelmaker.
He first threw his gloves and helmet into the steelmaking furnace at 22:54 on March 24, and then jumped in himself.
According to his co-workers, W was introverted, not married, and lost RMB 60,000 (about $10k) in stocks that day. This might be the reason that led him to commit suicide.
China again.

That was the first concert I ever went to, with my mom, when I was like idk probably 5 or something. I just remember lots of girls my mom's age (mid 20s), them crying a lot, and people holding up lighters.
