    90 seconds seems kind of excessive. If he went in face first it seems *very* excessive. I mean I'm not saying it was instant - lord knows, if I were planning on killing myself, taking a dunk in 1400 degree molten steel is never going on my list of the methods I'd consider "instant" - but I imagine your brain would be fucking donezo pretty quick at those temperatures. If it was his legs or something probably not quite so quick... but 90 seconds still seems like a wild overestimate. The heat'd get you faster than that.
