No, I believe that DAO's and decentralized governance will rapidly and dramatically change the way people live much like the internet boom when I was a child, I wasn't alive in the 80's but I think I would be feeling the same thing.

None of you boomers are into crypto stuff you don't understand the technology behind it. You were probably the same way in the 90's which is why you never posted on TOTSE or BBS's

You rely too heavily on centralized systems and cannot even visualize a life outside of this, which is why there are so many problems with the economy and social issues. A big change is coming fueled by technological innovation and if you fail to catch up you will end up like all those old people that hard to learn how to use a computer in the mid 2000's while everything around them got more advanced.

And some of you are STILL trying to figure that one out.

I think it already began about 40yrs ago. Right about the time hitting your kids stopped being cool and faggots started being accepted as part of society.

What do you think an appropriate societal punishment should be for being a homosexual?

What if instead of having a law for gay marriage instead we have DAO's like a Catholic marriage DAO and Sharia law DAO and a LGBT DAO that way instead of one law for all involving things like Abortion, fundamentalist beliefs and same sex marriage instead these groups will be separate from each other yet through smart contracts and DAOism interact in an economy and societal system yet staying within their own DAOs free to interact with or not interact with whomever they choose in a decentralized governance faction.

And within these DAO's political parties could exist or they could not even be democratic at all, or a party could represent multiple DAO's

    HERE'S HOW

    Web3 has some problems.

    As of today:

-Users still verify collections with centralized platforms like OpenSea

-There is a lack of social scores

    -Custodial wallets are still dominant

-Voting rights go to the highest bidder

-There is a lack of incentives to encourage community engagement

-A single user within a DAO can have multiple wallets to accrue voting power

Additionally, Web3 today centers around expressing transferable, financialized assets, rather than encoding social relationships of trust.

Yet, many core economic activities are built on persistent, non-transferable relationships.
    However, there is a solution.

Soulbound tokens, and “Souls” have the potential to change everything.

These two models layout the framework for a decentralized society existing solely on-chain.

Let’s go over each of these terms..

Soulbound tokens are non-transferable tokens that are revocable by the issuer.

SBTs can be used to represent commitments to projects, real world credentials, certificates, & much more.

It’s an easy way to bring off-chain attestations to Ethereum.

    Next, we have “Souls”.

A Soul is an account or wallet that holds one or more SBTs.

The various SBTs stored within a Soul can can be used to form one’s Web3 identity.

    https://poap.xyz/

With these two primitives, we can form a society centered around native web3 identities with rich composability.

The future vision of Ethereum described in this paper involves small, incremental advances in the use cases of SBTs..These steps are referred to as “The Stairway to a Decentralized Society”, which consist of the following:

    -Establishing provenance

    -Unlocking undercollateralized lending with reputation

    -Enabling decentralized key management

    -Compensating coordinated strategic behavior

    -Measuring decentralization

-Creating novel markets with decomposable, shared rights & permissions

The masses are not decentralized. They are entirely dependent on the current system. Crypto won't save them either, because whoever controls the energy, the power, the infrastructure, controls the crypto. Crypto is only decentralized as much as they allow it to be. Without energy, you can't decentralize electronic currency.

You are an extremely likable and entertaining poster, Wren. You are one of the best things about NIS. This website would be more enjoyable if u posted daily, instead of haphazardly.

bitcoin is the most powerful network ever built in human history and cannot be destroyed except by vaporizing the entire planet. As long as one person has the node code the network will still exist and it grows anytime it's online

Even if it was shut down for 1000 years it could be started up again at any time

Scron understands the aforementioned topic much better than myself. I possess a rudimentary understanding of the subject matter, at best. Howver, i'm quite knowledgeable about sloth bears and sunsets.
