The cowardly cops angle really pisses me off but if there's a little bit of possible good it will be people realizing how useless they are as an institution

especially if they feel they are actually at any risk/danger. they will call in a squad of like 15 cops with riot shields to take out one dude with a 9 mm basically. otherwise they run away

It's pretty disgusting...and I'm not one easily disgusted.
What I've read 5 or 6 of the fathers wanted to rush in but the cops held them back, I know if I'd have been one of those dads they'd have had to do more than simply hold me back.
Every cop there needs to be fired.

The armed security at the school ran and hid in closets as soon as the shooting started.

Tbf, 5.56 will chew through the level 2 body armor most cops wear on a day to day basis. Going in without armor to a situation with an unknown number of shooters, an unknown layout and having to smash down locked doors is bad juju. That said- if you want to be treated like a hero (even though cop pay is pretty shit), take some risks sometime. Cant ask for a more noble death than to die saving children. Those cops will have to live with the consequences of their inaction though, and i wouldnt be surprised if a couple of them eat a bullet.

They knew only one guy was in there because a cop literally watched him go in (the one who challenged him about his crashed abandoned vehicle).
ETA: seems the cops are changing their story about a cop challenging the shooter. I wonder what it's gonna look like when right-thinking pillars of the community start to riot.
With body armor, shields, and the usual level of body fat americans carry, they could have done a lot more. The parents would have if they'd been allowed.

Imagine being scared of an 18yr old kid when there are dozens of you in body armor and hiding outside for 1hr.
