It's time to start over and I figured why not try Windows 11.
Went to bios and switched from csm to uefi but then windows 10 won't load up.
So I switch back and think, maybe I just get the iso on a thumb drive but the website won't let me start because my computer is not compatible because of csm mode being on.
I'm confused as fuck.

CSM (legacy) vs UEFI is just the method used to boot the system.
You'll probably need to use UEFI to boot from the USB, but which bootmode to use depends on the options you choose when you install the OS

I figured it out as soon as I posted this.
Simply put I was clicking on the wrong download link the whole fucking time.
Thank you coffee for not doing your job this morning.

The 2nd day of using Windows 11 it crashed in the middle of nothing.
A blue screen popped up saying "crash detected" and to please wait while we gather data and send it to our engineers for troubleshooting.
Then it restarted my computer like it didn't just download my web browser history...

I've been using Windows a bunch as of late, and let me tell you i dislike it with a passion. Also if you want more control over your Windows experience install Windows Server 2016 or 2019, Enterprise Edition. Deploying a fully customized instance of Windows is pretty easy with Windows Server. Enterprise products from Microsoft are generally superior. But i am sticking with Loonix for my main computer.

I got a $50 off coupon for a Ryzen 5 5600x (which will make it $159) so I'm thinking of building yet another PC as I have a mobo for it, a fancy "GAMER!" case, M.2, PSU...everything but the memory...oh and I have a GTX750TI I can put in it for now. I drive by Microcenter everday on my way home (where the coupon is for) and I have till May 20th to use the coupon.
If I break down and get the CPU I'll do it as Windows 11 and see what all the fuss is about...then consign the PC to the other pile of PCs I have laying around doing nothing.
