2022-04-25 at 2:33 AM UTCIdk folks, I grew up seeing my parents have a toxic abusive relationship and have helped perpetuate the cycle but I try to deescalate situations when kids are involved.
It's kinda funny because it's a woman who was beating on zooks and he's still clearly upset about it (understandably) and doesn't think violent manipulation is part of most relationships in the drug subculture culture.
We all know zooks is too nice for his own good sometimes. I would much rather have seen him go all Ash/Bruce Campbell from "Evil Dead" and go HAM with an axe when she went to sleep but he kinda took the gayest possible route.

Still feel a tinge of PTSD over it but I recognize I was doing terrible things at the time and I'm pretty lucky I didn't get killed over it. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS THREAD AND TRIGGERING ME ZOOKS

Well none of us are working with perfect information but from what zooks has posted about her that is an unlikely scenario for numerous reasons
You really don't need to beat a woman either, that's the dumbest thing you can do to a woman. He could have bound her, cut her hair off, robbed her, humiliated her, made her cry, frightened the living shit out of her, tortured her without leaving marks etc etc etc like COME ON
Also relationships are an exchange of energies, you gotta match her treatment of you and zooks couldn't think of anyway to be vindictive without appealing to the law so here we are. I'm a believer in Karmatic energies and do not believe police need to be the middle man of the exchange. It's likely that everyone is much worse off for the cops being involved but I have faith the good Mr. Zooks will ultimately do what I believe to be the right thing.
