    Goddamn man, just so you know, I virtually never call the cops... I'm not even going to get into what my ex did for a living because I felt like that would be legit rattting, but I never talked shit about anything.

    She tied me up and beat me though so, after fucking hours of deliberation, I ratted on her.

    I never enjoyed one second of it but she might have deserved it.

    Maybe some especially bad people deserve to be ratted on.

    This is a philosophical conundrum that neither you nor myself can prove to be right about.

    No, I don't think he zhould have but it's not my call to make. I think we have a different value system but I imagine he feels very guilty and regrets his decision to appeal to the law against his fellow (wo)man.

    I'm a believer in Karmatic energies and do not believe police need to be the middle man of the exchange. It's likely that everyone is much worse off for the cops being involved but I have faith the good Mr. Zooks will ultimately do what I believe to be the right thing.

    And about that last part, I'm actually not ashamed of going to the police over domestic violence.

    But i insisted to the police that that's all it was.
