Iv seen rails fail to come down and a semi slam on its brakes to avoid a train shooting out of nowhere. But you violated the most common rule in driving. Never ever go around a dropped rail guard. We have several mile long trains out here that take 15-20 minutes. Just wait and listen to music.
You know what's more annoying to it being hysterically funny.
A train after 15 minutes of passing suddenly slows down over several minutes, the last few cars are dead stop in front of you, and they back up and move forwards several times cause they missed the track up ahead, causing an additional 10-15 minutes. That happened a few times while near Oakland
