What do you think about this? Putin's plan was just to take Kyiv quick, and that the regime would collapse while everyone celebrated the Russian liberators?
If he had taken Kyiv quickly it might have worked. I don't know. Hitler never took Moscow, and it took him a full month to take Kyiv. I don't like the Hitler=Putin meme, but a lot about these guys seems similar.
They aren't going for the head of the beast with their army, they're going into the countryside.
Honestly, if Putin was to have simply blasted the Ukrainian government to smithereens using cruise missiles I don't think many Ukrainians would have very much minded. I don't think people would have cared if Hitler had taken out Stalin either.
Putin has a certain reverence for Kyiv. He doesn't want to destroy old buildings. He cares more about buildings than people. -

2022-03-19 at 1 AM UTCOver here in Canada, if a priest starts talking about the crimes the government commits, they literally get dragged away by a goon squad of corrupt cops and imprisoned in solitary confinement, without bail. It's a totalitarian dictatorship working with China, and they hate religion with a passion. Just read about pastor Artur Pawlowski for the proof.
