2022-03-08 at 10:25 PM UTCRussia said that anyone allowing the Ukraine to conduct air operations from their airbases (ie. Poland, Romania) would be treated as a party to the war and their airbases would be destroyed as such.
as it stands Ukraine has no safe place to station aircraft; all of their major airfields have been destroyed and the entire country is effectively blanketed by Russian and Belarusian area denial systems.
fighter jets are expensive and you can't just throw millions away like that -

2022-03-09 at 5:20 AM UTCPoland is pretty based. But why are you guys the biggest money pit of the entire EU? There's only 4 countries that are Net Contributors to the EU budget and those are Germany, France, The Netherlands and some Scandinavian country IIRC.
We pay for your social programs, we pay for your pensions. How many people does Poland have? Like about 40 million and you can't even scratch together a couple billion i mean damn. I know it's a former commie hellhole but so is Latvia, and they're doing alright. Relatively.
Also, Poland will be the staging ground if Nato decides to start WWIII. -
