I mean, in this case I obviously have reason to do so. The same as millions of people have reasons to purchase vehicles, knowing full well that statistically, a good chunk of them are going to end up dying or injured in a vehicular accident.

In this case, I'm not that concerned about a chickenpox vaccine that's been around forever. There are benefits to me getting it, as dumb as I might think it is to have to do so. It's the hospital's rules and I'm the one who wants to work there.

But to your point, I understand why it's a little ridiculous for me to be bending over backwards to meet all their meticulous little requirements, which is why I'm still absolutely looking for different options and by no means thinking of the hospital job as my long-term career.
