can't say for certain considering I've never had to file a tax return in the US, but here it's not hard to do unless you run your own business or have multiple streams of legit income.
The reason most people go to an agent is because they have a good idea as to what you can safely claim without getting a full financial cavity search from the tax man, so it might be worth you paying the $50 to H&R Block or whatever if they can safely get you more back than you would yourself

That is a low blow. His huffy bike was stolen last week by some mean older kids up the street. Please keep a look out for it on you local social media marketplace pages. It was a special gift from his uncle for being a "special" little nephew.

I only owe 60 bucks I believe. But I might go redo it. I lost 120 bucks doing it online but I want to see if I am still eligible for 1200-1600 (whatever it was) stimulus I never got. because someone pulled my tax from the IRS and then placed it back. I asked them and they said they probably did a review of it but the covid caused a delay.
but it was approved. that was 2020s. I never got that one stim check because those months showed I "didn't" do my 2020 tax. when I did and it showed on the tax site that stated the IRS accepted it.
