I didn't know of her films or people she knew until we were invited to a few screenings. One lately online and One by her friend from LA. I thought it was going to be a small screener at a small theater, but it was at the Castro Theater in San Francisco (A huge art deco) and was a full house screening.
We were supposed to go to an after-party but it rained like hell that night and we had a hard time finding the location.
the first 3-4 years we were together I just figured she mainly did painting and just took the class for fun.
even after I joined this place, I didn't know. but her Instructor was well known in the 60s and 70s. avant garde with his brother. friends of Andy Warhol types. The "Village" NY in the day.
I still have no clue wtf Im doing but she said there is no general rule. I do well at taking control and projecting what I want done.
all the shit they teach you in film class is fluff. its like anything else, Experimental .
things like Lighting and Camera adjusting has set rules. White balance, lighting and sound has to be spot on. but the director paints a blank canvas if he choses or uses story boards. they all can work out.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

The first time I watched/listened it was on Bluetooth in a vehicle so I thought the first few minutes were just unintelligible but the first 5 mins are your directions which seemed helpful.
I wouldn't try to be the actor in it, you seem like a decent stand in but are clearly more tooled towards directing.
You clearly have some vision too, I'd say the your acting and the script are the weak parts. You would do great with a stronger script and someone to help realize your vision better.

2022-02-16 at 1:05 AM UTCThanks, yeah I took classes in Community and wanted to be a DP or Director (like most people) and some creative writing. but that was just side classes. I took Management courses and Hotel Management.
took some old school A/V but all the equipment was donated by independent tv stations and Public Broadcast. some old Reel to Reel video equipment and editing tables.
I just never wanted to act. anytime you have a kid with autism or issues, they try and get you to take drama classes. LOL I used to be weirded out by the teacher when you do these warm-ups. back in 7th and 8th grade.
