    I think it generally has to do with how much they hate everything and how life would be so much better if we were all getting eaten by wolves.

    They could usually get away with it so long as they kept saying they hatde everyone equally. If they admited they hated some groups slightly less than others they got immediately shoahed. Maybe that has changed now.
