I'd wager he was alot more good than they woukd portray him him as. I think he was just a nice, honest guy guy who tried to enrich and help his people the best way he knew how, trafficking smuggling and selling cocane.

The man was sadistic. Lots of people romanticize him but he once stapled a horn and wings to a horse because his daughter wanted a unicorn. He did create a lot of jobs but he also was a terrorist who blew shit up and injured innocent, un-involved peoples.
