Anyway, i think it's pretty cool The Irish kept their own language.

It’s dying tbh, even in Gaeltacht areas they speak English and there’s different types of it being taught in schools so parents can’t understand their children. I used to be near fluent but have forgotten most of it since I’ve had no one to talk with in it.

My native language is Dutch, so Gaelic is very foreign to me. Even though i am naturally talented when it comes to language. I speak a couple of them, although when it comes to Gaelic that might be an impediment. Or it would just seem that way because i have never made a serious effort to learn it. It'd be cool to know though.

Dutch, German, English, pretty good at Latin and from Latin the romance languages open up so i can read Italian, French is a little funky, but i'm alright at Spanish. I'm also learning Old Norse, which is hard af, because the original Old Norse alphabet is Elder Futhark, but you write it when you want to communicate in Icelandic characters. Speaking of which Icelandic is very similar to Old Norse so it makes sense. But meh...

That’s a lot. Why did you choose Latin? I’m trying to learn German because I’d like to move there. It’s nice starting to think differently and putting on accents.

I chose Latin because of the classics. Reading Caesar in Latin is pretty dope. Poetry in Latin has a rhythm, Caesar writes with rhythm almost in a poetic sense. I bet the average day Roman thought he sounded posh. Funny to think about. Also the Catholic church does everything in Latin, this is going to piss the hardcore classicists off but i pronounce Latin Ecclesiastically. Not particularly religious but: Dulce et decorum est pro Deo mori. Deus Vult.

Anyway, should have learned Greek as well. Why would you like to move to Germany?

I’m a bit obsessed with them but wouldn’t know about fairies from other cultures. It’s childish but a nice escape. Apparently, they were the original settlers in Ireland, from the river Danube, they had supernatural powers and when they came to Ireland they had to fight the fomorians, a mutated people from the sea. Structures like Stonehenge were already there when they arrived and they thought these were portals to the otherworld, where they ended up having to go after losing the battle with the fomorians.

I took some pictures outside at night and found some fairy thingies in the shots.
Maybe I can domesticate them and start a Fairy Dairy.
I heard through the grape vine that fairy milk goes good in coffee.

The funniest one I’ve heard is about a murderous fairy violinist whom would put everyone to sleep with its music then set fire to the place.

It's bad luck to cut the ribbon one down as well i believe. Only kind i've seen is the one that has thousands of coins hammered into the bark, like really old coins. It's bad luck to take a coin. So they just sit there, it's pretty cool.

I remember as a young-fella-me-lad being on holiday on the Isle of Mann. We were on a tram going up Snaefell (the tallest mountain for the dumb yanks). I was sat up front near the driver guy and we crossed a bridge and he said to me "Faries live under that bridge"...I was craning my neck to look and he said "You wont see them they hide very well, you've got to be very special to catch a glimpse of them"

Imagine, a tram driver telling a little kid he wasn't special, what an asshole.
