Something you can try though is giving it characteristics, it’s some demon that wants to kill your liver and ruin your skin etc, then tell it to go away. That separates it from your mind so you aren’t fighting yourself. It helped with ocd.

I read about this in the book, "The joys of being sober". The author calls her demon voldemort. It's like something that tries to encourage you to drink. I can relate to that.
I'm going to just drink on occassion and even then stick to something like Guinness and avoid spirits at all cost. Reading these posts makes me realise just how much of a problem I must actually have. The fact a night out takes such planning only serves to prove the severity of my situation.
I'll stick to the following rules:
1. Drink only on occassion
2. Avoid Spirits.
3. Do not drink alone or at home
4. Avoid anyone who does drugs/
being in the presence of drug
taking. -
2022-01-17 at 6:03 PM UTCI broke up with my girlfriend about a month ago and it's been shitty for me. I'm lonely but at the same time, I'm trying to keep positive and like every year I tell myself spring will be in turn a lot better for me and ultimately turn into me growing, warmth, being more active, looking and feeling better, and finding new people to fornicate and learn about and validate my own longings for exploring.
