   The team at Hypixel Studios doesn't need to check back to see if the developers of minecraft add anything. Instead they are creating their own content, game modes and technologies within minecraft and using the worlds best selling sandbox game as a creative platform for their ideas and honestly as the most popular server in all of minecraft they really do have something going for them
   
   I am not a big fan of minigames or PVP games but what Hypixel has been developing for 10+ years is probably the earliest version of a modern "metaverse" in a true sense of the world and I really think these modern metaverse selling NFT plots really take a lot of inspiration from this culture that stems from minecraft of things like land claim servers and being able to build the virtual world you want to live in
   
   You can look at it as just a shitty old game with bad graphics but it's more than that and there is an entire infinite world of possibilites to explore besides the simple just punch a sheep and kill a tree.
