I have a Vega 56 from years ago and it's currently selling for $600+

All RTX 30xx cards are literally 800+

    Fuck this

I want to upgrade my PC as I have an ageing CPU but I'm probably gonna get like an i5 if I have to stick with my Vega.

    I think I'll get a 12400f

Then keep trying to score a 3060 for MSRP and turn this computer I to an HTPC I guess.

FUCK FUCK FUCK paying a scalper. They can die for all I care.

I have been reading into the semiconductor shortage. Apparently for the biggest demand items like RTX30XX cards and game consoles, the production is actually at the highest level in history. It's just not able to keep up with demand. So what that tells me is that the economy has actually been insanely well recently. Sales growth on these items is heavily supply limited. I wonder if it's just silicon prices or wtf is gonna have to happen for chip prices to come back down.

Yeah I sold a 2yr old RTX 2060 for $450 on offerup, I think I paid $395 or something for it new.

mine has no faceplate because I had a watercooling loop but gave it up because it was too much trouble

now it just has a cooler cabletied to it and some heatsinks glued to the VRAM

Mine is currently crashing and BSODing on all my games for no goddamn reason discernable by man after I upgraded my mobo CPU and ram.

Just checked, my Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Graphics Card is selling for €270 second hand on ebay, I bought it second hand from ebay myself but only paid €105 for it. That's ridiculous.

I've got a few older cards laying around in drawers...I think I'll pull em out this weekend and stick em on ebay

Probably because you're using old CMOS settings on the new components.

CMOS is on the motherboard which has been replaced, and CMOS has been superseded by UEFI on almost all consumer hardware anyway

haven't really had to worry about manually setting interrupts since like windows 98

hard to say what the issue is without a screencap of the blue screen and/or memory dump
