   after making a post of "in the guise of a marketing tool" is it a fair question to ask if Bitcoin was not only something that kind of reflects a pyramid scheme but also the question of "bit mining?"
   
   bit being data. mining for bitcoins. mining data or data mining? then selling info while rewarding bit funds.
   
   I mean it's a pretty broad and common term to mine eg: Gold, Silver, Answers, and of course Data
   
   but do you feel it was designed with layers of profitability as well? or even figured it out later to data-mine while allowing people to mine-after the fact?

   What are you asking Lanny for. Pretty sure data mining as far as you are able is a byproduct. The real trick was popularizing BTC so that it's creator could go on to found Bitcoin Cash. Yes it was a money grab/marketing gimmick. But the gimmick took on a life of it's own, even though it is literally handicapped. How do you know it's handicapped? Processing fees should give you a clue.
