2022-01-08 at 11:40 PM UTCI just got CORRALLED by 3 squad cars whilst PEACEFULLY walking to the store. They blocked me in and asked me where I was going, coming from, told me a report of a burglary just happened and then I was cutting through a parking lot wearing a backpack and looked SUSPICIOUS.
He was polite enough so I wasn't a dick toward him but I did refuse to give him my ID or my last name but I told him my first name. He said ok thanks and that was it.
I was kind of hoping they'd falsely arrest me so I could file a lawsuit and win MILLIONS but oh well. -

In most U.S. states you are not required to provide ID or even answer basic questions unless the officer has reasonable articulable suspicion that you have committed, are committing, or are about to commit a crime or if you have been lawfully detained and or arrested. -

Why not try and help the police? They are there to help us. I love cops. I'm grateful for them. -
