    I am looking to either build or buy a 3D scanner. If I can't buy it I am strongly looking at building one. I found some on Amazon




    the listing for the red diddy on amazon says it comes with 2 "lasers" and 1 x C270 HD webcam
    all of the listings I see seem to come with small turntables
    I'm not sure how these are supposed to come together to scan an object into 3D but maybe I can build one myself for cheaper if there is some kind of open source software. I am looking to make models in .glb or .GLTF formet


    is anyone here familiar with how to do this shite?

    They are not very accurate, fine I guess if you just need a "rough" model but if you are planning on using the 3D scan to 3D print something it's going to be rougher than a bears ass after it's hibernated for 5 months.

    I'm not trying to spend very much which is why this thread is in DIY I am looking to set up a 3D scanning and pay for whatever the gear costs so that any money I do make is all profit which I can spend on things

    I'm not planning on printing anything, but with a scanner and some clay I can make unique NFTs

    If I list them at the price of scammer + materials and even one of them sells I instantly make back my money or possibly even more

    I would also be able to produce an unlimited amount of them so I think the potential is there.

    They are essentially sold FOB where the buyer pays the gas ⛽ which is usually around $300 + whatever the listing is

    I designed some keyboard plungers and holders in 3D builder for an MSX computer keyboard I'm trying to fix this weekend (that had 6 missing keys and accompanying hardware)...they still need tweaking a little though. I can upload a screen cap of them this evening if you are REALLY that interested.
