   Xi has spent the last 3 decades establishing himself as a power panda and clensing the party of his opponents, some of this was done openly others more covertly, but there isn't many who have any power base among the politburo's standing committee, he essentially has an iron grip on power and at the next party meeting in a year, he will be made president for life
   
   He is trying to vladimir putin the whole permanent power leader and being wildly successful, if he can overtake taiwan in the next year before the party hearing, he will almost certainly be known as the eternal party leader and president.
   
   The belt & road initiative and pulling a half billion people out of poverty that the party wouldve largely ignored, really consolidated his power amongst the proles
