I got all kinds of random dangerous stuff, cause i like living on the edge. But realistically i don't see why i couldn't just take the smokeless powder out and make actual bullets with these, if i could source some brass fit for the right caliber.
Allegedly this box got misplaced one day, bad luck i guess. But not really because i made it a point 'misplace' said box. Anyway, they're center fired cartridges with about the amount of powder a .22 has, nail guns are whacky contraptions but they got some oomph that nail is hauling ass out of that thing and we're talking pretty hefty nails.
Anyway i wanna take nail gun cartridges and make some actual ammo. Possible? Yes? No? Why?
Also... nail gun cartridge primer, what is it made of? I do believe the powder itself is just regular ass smokeless. Am i an idiot? Probably. Will blow myself up? No. Cause i know SPLOSIVES. EY YO WHAT YALL KNO BOUT SPLOSIVES
That's right.

Its a very small powder charge that would be pretty useless for most porpoises. Not to mention youd have to manufacture a bullet that you could seat in the casing and still fire reliably.

I may or may not have bought a fist full of speed earlier today. So while i'd love to fucking lathe some shit right now, i'd like to keep my hands intact. So this thread is for inspiration more than anything.

im like 99% sure it's doable, theoretically. do you actually have a .22 to fire these homebrew rounds from tho? like, preferably a revolver because i don't see any homebrew round properly fitting in the chamber of any other typa gun. if you're gonna have to slap together a whole ass bootleg gun for them as well then it's definitely doable since the design can get really flexible. gud project for a bored machinist, but like... are you actually tooled up to manufacture something like that?

thought about slapping together a weird muzzle loader that uses multiple blanks per shot before but im a retard and i'd most likely end up with a frag grenade that blows up in my hands instead of a gun lol

(also i have no tools and going to a makerspace or whatever to make gun parts seems like it'd be awkward)

not proper buckshot, I can't find it now but I've seen where they've just taped little lead balls to the end of the cartridge
airgun pellets are popular but I guess they're harder to get in some places

Neat link. My rounds are less tall, but that's because the brass is crimped at the end, if i 'uncrimp' it, it fits twice as much powder. I guess the Chinese one uses the cartridge like you would a black powder charge in yee olde musket to fire a solid lead projectile. Looks like it's a breach loaded single shot typa deal.
Also i'm going to be pedantic, but double odd buck is an actual caliber, you can have a 12 gauge shotgun and have it shoot a nice cornucopia of rounds, bird shot is like BB pellets, double odd buck will take your head off, and a slug, that's just a bore sized projectile, well thereabouts.

Yes, but i stole the rounds for the smokeless powder primarily. It's the hardest part to come by in my neck of the woods, that and primer. The pistol i mean to feed is chambered in 9x18, and i hear you don't want to load your rounds too hot when you get that OG soviet surplus Gucci shit. I'm not trying to load more 90 grains per round to start off with. We'll see how that runs. If the gun explodes, consider me a victim of communism.
If someone could just smuggle some Hornady Critical Defense FTX in 9x18 Makarov to me that'd be swell.
