Son, if you can't find good work at good pay right now your just a spoiled lazy entitled lil bitch. -
2021-12-24 at 11:19 PM UTCIm sick and tired of Mi'llennials talking this horseshit that Boomers ruined their future.
ONCE AGAIN
You have it way fucking easier than Boomers and Xgen who came before you. the only thing boomers had was bought or build their own houses on lots that were cheap but worth a shitload of money now because how the US has brought in huge numbers of hard working foreign people (or rich oil arabs who had it fairly easy) to buy up the land and create supply and demand issues.
that was done by pre-boomers the so called "Silent Generation" or "Geriatric Gen"
You have first time home buyer at 2-3% interest. Once again, My late wife and I Xgen bought our first home with a shit ass loan at 12% Interest rate because of our low Fico due to not have the covenants of Pre-Invested credit cards (Not to be confused with prepaid) banks offer today where you can raise your FICO in just 2 years to 720 and above. You invest 200 dollars and the bank gives you another 300 in credit for a 500 balance. as long as you dont fuck up and run up the card and not pay it off at the end of the month, you can build a 720 credit score in 2 years. even if you have a shitty prior score you can build it up with in 3-4 years if you are patient. this means your first time home loan will be nearly as low as if it was a 0 interest rate. Your 2-3 percent monthly payment for a 500k house would be as much as our payment on a 100k condo was at 12%. also note, the 100k condo would be worth 320k in todays dollar value adjusted for inflation.
All I hear is fucking bitching. If you dont' have a girlfriend or wife or significant other. get 2 reliable work friends (not best friends but work buddies) and go in on the loan as a joint in tenant agreement. all of you have to be willing to sell the house at the same time however you can take them to court and force them to buy you out. so its a fairly secure investment even if they chose not to sell at the same time. you can get them to buy you out at fair market value
YOU HAVE 0 REASONS to be blaming Boomers for your failure. you're a bunch of fucking whining cunts. there were guys from Europe who came to the USA in at age 19-20 who bought property together and as construction workers on visas had bought property at quick auctions for dirt cheap and fix them up. they own like several apartments each now in their 40s and also got their American Citizenship in that time. in the San Francisco area too.
You need to push to do this. You have it easier than I do right now as an old guy having to start over again. I am not qualified as a new time buyer. I have to pay the 4-6% interest now or whatever its at. you 30 something year olds are only using your laziness in the guise of "Booomers fucked it up for us" to delay or miss your one time opportunity. and Yes I sound like a fucking Infomercial but this is one time it's a fact.
tougen up, get together, save a few thousand between yourselfs, buy a fixer upper after living in it first for 2 years together and rent it to Section 8 housing with Section 8 vouchers. Fix it up enough with new paint, make sure the roof is a cheap 2 tab in tact, shitty Manager/Renter appliances (In case they move out and take it to sell) and cheap flooring, cheap fixtures.
they will almost certainly bust shit up, but the cheaper the fixtures the easier to replace and cheaper to replace. the reason for doing this is your investment will over time pay the mortgage and offer you money back per month and in 10 years (on Average) property doubles. so in 20 years, you will have a 400% Increase on your investment and you can then go buy land and build a house so you wont be homeless by then. also this, Hopefully you will have success and saved money and be married by then with kids. if not, you wont be a lazy dumb fuck living in the streets to die some horrible flu you caught during the winter sleeping in a doorway somewhere. -

He literally is blaming our Generation.
And the Boomers was a 25 year spread. You had Boomer 1s (Guys in College in the late 60s Free Love era and early 1970s or Vietnam era) and Boomer 2 who hardly was responsible for the AIDS from free love era. or basicly Xgen
Boomer2 and XGen paved way for Miillennials to be the successful Start Up fucks. Many MOON PERSONs became the Elon Musk (XGen)
these guys are fucking living in their own nightmare they created. -

am i hearing you right, you self entitled sac of shit?
do we need to take personal responsibility for your promotion of single mothers that millions of us had to be raised by completely against our will too?
now an army of mentally ill fuckups will inherit america, im sure we should take personal responsibility for that too.
then we should take personal responsibility for your continued maintenance as you deteriorate and literally become a useless shitstain on society and pay unprecedented tax for your geriatric care, debt ceiling be damned and "no to socialism!" be damned. -

That's not happening...each generation has always been 'wealthier' than the previous generation. Generating personal wealth is in your hands...not someone elses. if you CHOOSE to work for a low wage rather than run your own business...that's on you. -

I pay for my own health care as do most of my generation, We worked, made wise choices, took personal responsibility for our lives. and now enjoy the benefits we have paid for with our labor. -

2021-12-29 at 6 PM UTC"so my generation must deal with getting paid 1/3 the wage of yours"
Yeah, when you are young you get paid a lot less than the older experienced folk...again it's always been like that. When I was 20 I was getting paid a lot less than someone 50yrs old who'd been doing the job for as long as I'd been alive...nothing generationally new there at all. You have to EARN your way up the ladder.
...if you are still on the bottom rung when you ARE 50...again, that's on you.
Also when you're 50 and a 20yr old walks in you'll laugh at him too when he demands to be paid the same as you... -

Not true, Kev. Minimum Wage was 4.25 cents in 1988 (or around)
Minimum wage is now 15 (Jan 1st 2022) across the state for business over 25 employees and 14 for under 25 people
the dollar since 1988 has devalued 2/3rds the dollar value of 1988. so that means we made about 12.75 cents compared to your 15 dollars.
also Interest rates where between 12-15% depending on your FICO range. a poor FICO was around 14.8 percent and a decent was around 13.5 while anything over 770 was 12%
your current interest rates are between 3-4 right now. this means your payments per month are literally 1/4th of what they were when we were younger. a condo or house was 1/3rd the cost as today. but again, based on the adjustment for inflation, you're out on top about 30-40 percent less than what we had it at.
you can get a house for 0 down now. not just 2 percent as before. there are new loans that can happen.
You guys got it so fucking good compared to us. Electronics are way better and dirt cheap compared to the analog ones we had. however ours were built better and last 20 years and not 7-8 years. but they're cheap enough to be disposable.
You wish death on the very generation who made your world what it is in the good sense.
You're responsible for making the shitty repetitive music you have when ours was written like poetry or an opera. it has different structures of lifts and bridging and chorus. you just have baseline structures.
You did it to yourselves. stop blaming Boomers and wishing they would die off.
