Yeah there seems to be a battle between Gays and Lesbians until Pride Week and then I guess they put up with each other.
Many Lesbians in the Castro have moved to the town of Guerneville or some town near Santa Rosa (I have no idea where Guerneville is but I know the news said that)
A lot of gays who didn't own property in the castro but rented have bitched about how the Straight Millen'nials bought in with their techie monies to raise kids, get married. you have to understand that the Gays were pushed out like Nomatics and moved to the art area of Soma in the 1960s or 50s and were pushed out of the inexpensive lofts that were filled with asbestos and were once car shops or metal works. really cool looking industrial buildings that were torn down to build the new Downtown that exist today off of Mission.

I wouldn't waste my money living in San Francisco let alone buying a house there. It's beautiful and maybe the closest ting to an Italian or French European style city in the USA because of the Metaterianian feel to the city. but its just one Giant Earthquake ready to destroy much of it. or just the economy bottoming out and you losing your house back to some middle-class folks buying it pennies on the dollar in a massive auctioning from banks.
whatever happens. San Francisco is worth renting an AirBnB for a week but not living in that fucking hellish trap. -

its sad Oakland became run down and urbanized but it really has so much potential of being just as fancy as San Francisco if not better because it stretches a lot farther out.
Home shouldn't cost so fucking much. everyone should have the right to buy a house. outright would be a good thing.
but then again, renters can move when the lease is up. You can always sell your house, but you can't always sell it for more than you paid for it. Renting sometimes has its benefits too -
