idk, maybe. i still think i'd have better luck than with a grenade tho? i do not trust myself to throw the grenade properly. i will blow myself up. i might blow myself up with a claymore but it'd be less embarrassing so i'm more confident.

The Robert Eeeeeee Lee would blow that up before it could get close enough to do damage

How in the fuck would setting up a claymore be easier than tossing a nade? You can even just girly lob it.

i have an irrational (read: totally rational) fear of explosives. the claymore is still scary (and probably more complicated) but:
    1) I have some potentially misguided beliefs about the directionality of claymore mines. A claymore pointing in the right direction 15 feet away from me is probably going to fuck my eardrums for life, maybe hurt me, but I'll also (probably) keep all my limbs. Hand grenade, not so much. Fuck no. "A girly lob" needs to get it 15 feet away just to get it out of the immediately lethal radius (RADIUS. OMNIDIRECTIONAL CARNAGE!).
    2) I think it's also probably control thing? There's something a little too chaotic about lobbing a hand grenade. Once it leaves your hand, it is out of your control. Very "jesus take the wheel" for a thing that's intended purpose is to end all life within 5ish meter radius.

Like, knowing me, that girly lob will end in the most awkward (and most final) "oops, butterfingers teehee" moment of my life. If I had to throw a grenade in a life or death situation fuck yeah I would but good lord only because I'd believe my death was imminent in either case. I am too retarded to be trusted with manually lobbing omnidirectional instant death.

The claymore is probably more technically complicated to set up, but my level of confidence in doing it is way higher than with a grenade simply because I'd feel like I'm at less risk of instantly obliterating myself the entire time it was in my hands.

The real gangster move would be to pull the pin, throw it up above your head and kick it away like a football before it touches the ground

Did you recently learn "Dalit" because you've been using it a lot in the last couple of months.

Any of the real battle bots ever utilize EMP or a strong magnetic field?

Idk but it probably wouldn't make sense due to design restrictions. Like how strong of an EM field do you expect to generate in the size of a Roomba?

definitely possible with a bunch of pre-charged high voltage caps, but I suspect EM weapons are illegal because they'd interfere with control systems and the running of the show

Also your own electrical systems night not be so easy to make EM-resistant.
