He has been dead 8 years I think.
Never asked him much about his time in the war.
I knew photos had to exist but I never saw any of them until just the other day when I found a stack of them in a box shoved way up under the stairs at my dead aunts house.
I have uploaded them all for your viewing pleasure.
Never did I think I was going to find myself holding an original photograph of Hitler but here I am holding an origional photograph of Hitler.
As for what my grandpa did in WWII all I can say is he was in all theaters and worked as a map maker.

Hitler died 20 years before I was born.
the distance between 9/11 till now is the same amount of time Hitler died before I was born
so he's not really that far back. WWII just seemed long ago because most news film wasn't in color. the black and white photos were already a 100 years old technology even when Hitler was alive.
so it made it seem older than it was. but in honesty, it wasn't that long ago.

And Yes, Green Plastic and I are both from the same town.
He is even living in San Diego which my Parents lived in.
I think he was a neighbor down the street but then he stated he lived in Rivertown (A district of Downtown Antioch.. was once a lovely town until the Government decided to give vouchers for rent up to 3000 dollars.. Murder rate went from 0-1 a year to 15 a year)

it's a small town (or was) of 40k now 110k. second-largest county expansion of home building next to Orange County between the late 90s and early 2k.
When we moved there it was still full of Orchards and side roads next to cornfields. how quickly it destroyed farmland.
This is why I want to move back into the boonies. go shopping once a week and grow my own veggies.
Fuck Californias over population. however, if you need to expand. Build up, not out. Cities should just build better infrastructures and stop destroying farm land. which is why Im moving to the desert and buying a shitload of acres so I don't have to be sitting face to face at breakfast with a neighbor staring back at me. nothing wrong with it in the city on a condo sundeck but umm no.
