One covid variant kills off the other, beta was killed by delta, delta is being killed by omicron. There have been various other variants that also died off, like the dreaded ligma variant.
Omicron has at least 10x less death rate than delta.
Some people will be upset that the disease is irrelevant now.

covid was just a dry run and a psy op. next comes the actual dangerous and lethal viruses (coronavirus will never be particularly fatal), and all the anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers - having been primed by the bullshit this time around - will neglect to protect themselves when actual danger arises. this whole thing was just to get the most rebellious, "independent", rowdy people into the mindset that public health and safety precautions are stupid and tyrannical so they can be swiftly exterminated.
