Shadow Courts on the Dark Web

   So apparently cybercrime forums on the dark web are now creating their own court system that allows victims of ransomware attacks & scams / invalid credentials to sue the seller.
   
   The court hearings are public on the forums as all members are allow to chat, say input, and watch this unfold. From what i gathered both the defendant and plaintiff will submit their own side of the situation including chat logs, crypto transactions, emails, screenshots, and even personal information.
   
   The punishment can be anywhere from a few $100-$1000s of fines, to being banned on the forum.
   
   People and their families are actually getting doxed due to how personal this is getting..
   
   What do you guys think about a Shadow Court on darkweb forums? I personally find it funny

   Dumb...as if any of it can be enforced...other than the banning from the forum...which is pretty laughable. I'm sure Gupta in India is going to pay a $10000 fine for holding someones computer for a ransomware "violation".
   The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

   exactly what i was thinking. and if you get banned on the dark web, im sure you have enough knowledge to just rejoin as someone else and do the same thing over and over again.

    Seems silly. Doubly so if people are getting personally offended. Don't buy malware, write your own. If you gotta have people with specialized skills in something or the other, enter into an agreement with them on some basis, make team, or a crew, have some unifying goal, and operate under the rules of Game Theory.
    
    That said, teams are a double edged sword, unfortunately people are social creatures and opsec protocols are often not followed to the letter.
