Case in point: Vegas Loop.
No capsule or vacuum tube. No self driving. No "high speed car platform". No high volume transport. Just a shitty Tesla ride through tunnels, with a human driver. It's an underground tunnel taxi.
Doesn't do shit for residents of the city, is not remotely capable of meeting mass transit needs, generates like 12 jobs in total by giving you the easiest Uber routes in history.
Elon fans: great success, this is literally exactly what Boring Company and Hyperloop promised.
