Building a website for my client.

   Fonaplats victim of incest [daylong jump-start that nome]
   That's what I have been up to.
   I found it a great way to stay motivated while introducing myself to javascript.
   It's a legit client running a private business and I'm having a great time using my new skills to help out.
   Things are going good but slower than I expected although some of that is due to constantly changing and new ideas mostly brought out by myself.
   With any luck I'll be finished with a working draft in the near future.
   Being my first client I do plan on doing follow up work to tweak the website as I continue to learn more.
   I'm very proud that I have started to build a portfolio.
   Just wanted to let you all in on some of my current doings.

   Are you tracking how much time you are spending on it versus how much you are charging?. It's all very well keep tweaking it but if you spend 100hrs on it and only make $250...

   That's awesome dude. This is the kind of endeavor and skill set i love seeing people learn and master. I'm glad you're having fun with the work and i am happy you have a customer. If you need any books on JS or any flavors of it hit me up and i'll hook you up.
   
   I do hope that from web dev you start also, with web application security. In fact it'd be directly beneficial to your current role. Learning how to build websites is a cool thing learning how to build secure websites and other web based assets with a security focus is where you can start to open up some more lucrative commissions, both legit or otherwise anywhere in between.
   
   Personally i am not a web developer, although i do have some experience with it and i have more experience with NodeJS based applications of various kinds. And i've read and put into practice a good deal of offensive security concepts aimed at web app security. In case you're wondering i've got resources on that too should you be interested.
