ja, against non-peer foes that didnt have air defenses or an air force.

Your photo offers nothing as a citation. Establish the mission objectives, the targets who were killed or destroyed, the actual aircraft that did the bombing...(which were probably NOT F117s).

Come on Vincent, you can do better than this perturbed NISer response.

...which would therefore make it stunningly successful

If we have a race, me in my car and you on your Rickshaw...I'm going to be stunningly successful (as well as stunningly handsome)

...doing the same job missiles could do, probably way cheaper.

25yrs in service isn't really "so quickly"...but here is the simple answer.

"The U.S. Air Force retired the F-117 in April 2008, primarily due to the fielding of the F-22 Raptor. "

    "probably"...

No, Missiles fired from a ship in the gulf do not have the accuracy of a a bomb/missile fired and laser guided from an aircraft at the target site...when you have civilians all around firing an inaccurate missile from 200 miles away and hoping it hits the target and doesn't take out half the town instead... isn't a better solution.

Did they retire the B52 due the fielding of the B2?

They sound like right humanitarians. Did the airplane then throw loaves of bread, rolls of toilet paper, and interracial porn VHS tapes on the Iraqis?

No, the B52 and B2 (and B1) have different roles...google should have told you that when you googled it.

The use of nuclear weapons can save humanity from a global catastrophe

I will share a few thoughts that I have nurtured for a long time, and they were formed after the recent Assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy – one of the most striking in its 31-year history.
    Growing threat

    ……

But such an outcome is possible only if and when we can break the West's will to support the Kiev junta and incite it against us, and force it to retreat strategically.

The fear of nuclear escalation must be restored. Otherwise, humanity is doomed.

    …..

And to do this, it is necessary to restore the lost sense of self-preservation in it, convincing that attempts to exhaust Russia by inciting Ukrainians against it are counterproductive for the West itself. We will have to restore the credibility of nuclear deterrence by lowering the unacceptably high threshold for the use of nuclear weapons, and by moving prudently but quickly up the deterrence-escalation ladder. The first steps have already been taken. These are the relevant statements of President Putin and other leaders, the beginning of the deployment of nuclear weapons and their carriers in Belarus, and the increase in the combat capability of the strategic deterrent forces. There are many steps on this ladder. I counted about two dozen. It may even go so far as to warn our compatriots and all people of good will about the need to leave their places of residence near objects that may become targets of nuclear strikes in countries that directly support the Kiev regime. The enemy must know that we are ready to launch a preemptive strike in retaliation for all its current and past aggressions in order to prevent a slide into a global thermonuclear war.
