2021-11-17 at 12:45 PM UTCOne thing I never understood about making one is how much gas do you put in a bootle? I assume 3/4ths full and also when you put a rag inside how much gas do you put at the end of it that you will lit up so you can still carry it around and it wont go off or blog up on you?

2021-11-17 at 1:22 PM UTCBlog(sic) up on you? ummm it's not an explosive charge. You light the rag and throw it, when the bottle smashes the lit rag ignites the contents...there is no explosion...it's an incendiary "weapon"

-
2021-11-17 at 2:37 PM UTCdon't put a rag, rubber band a gas soaked tampon to the neck and light that before you throw
-
2021-11-17 at 2:39 PM UTCbut I mean isnt it risky lighting up the rag from it epxloding or something? how long does it take for the fire to go inside the bootle? and how much do you put gas on the tap of the rag not inside the bootle the aprt you light up?
-
2021-11-17 at 2:39 PM UTCIve read instructions of it but none mentioned the fuse part or rag end you light up. can you just light it up naked or without fluid soaked there?
-
2021-11-17 at 2:40 PM UTCyeah just light it up naked fuy

Yes, a rag is stupid. Cap the bottle and use a gas soaked tampon taped to the neck
it has no way to ignite the gas in the bottle until the bottle is broken (you have to throw it HARD) -

No. the explosive potential of gas is in the vapor, the vapor is trapped in the bottle due to the rag. Fire can't get a foothold in the bottle because it needs oxygen to burn...the rag burns by soaking up the fluid from inside the bottle like a candle wick
You have to break the bottle for any type of reaction to occur...otherwise it's basically an "oil" lamp. -
2021-11-17 at 5:17 PM UTCCouldn't you also put styrofoam into your shitty make shift incendiary, for reasons.

so the fire at the end of it where you light it and out some gas wont wuickly work its way down and stay in position like in video games or movies like left4dead? and how much gas do you soak at thst end you light? just a smudge or a nice load? -

No, again it's like an oil lamp...the fuel chamber can't burn because of a lack of oxygen in there...the rag is simply the
wick/igniter when you smash open the bottle/fuel container...otherwise..again..it's just a lamp.
Now if you make the thing wrong and the rag isn't sufficiently stuffed in the neck of the bottle then you might have a problem, the rag needs to be tight in the bottle neck.
