Do the HGVs have a scramjet on them to go hypersonic when approaching their target?

    do you youtube ?

The propulsion system hasn't been publicly disclosed, but I'm pretty sure the glide vehicle is mounted on a rocket stage that gets discarded when it hits maximum velocity - it doesn't appear to have an internal motor

i think the definition of 'glide' excludes the possibility of these warheads being self propelled.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

Does the rocket stage already get it up to hypersonic speeds or does it acquire that speed while falling?

Nah, even an airplane can glide.

Never said they were, illiterate mong. But they are also a glide vehicle, because it's a vehicle that can glide.

The majority of the design could be based around gliding but still have self propulsion capabilities.

no they arent glide vehicles. a glide vehicle depends entirely on glide alone as its means of movement.

    by what ratio ?

So can planes and sometimes they have to, like USA Flight 1549.

Did that plane "turn into" a glide vehicle? No, it was always capable of gliding, it just usually doesn't.

Any ratio, there's no hard definition about being a glider design that prevents you from including some form of propulsion.

Having the capability doesn't make it a glide vehicle...just as a car having the capability of being pulled by a horse doesn't make it a cart.

ETA: If you kept chickens in the aircraft that wouldn't make it a hen house either.

If you took the chicken into the bathroom on the plane to join the "Mile High Club", would that make it a cat house?

A cart is not defined by the ability to be pulled by a horse, it is defined by having 2 parallel wheels only. And thus a car is not a cart. A shopping cart is also not horse drawn for example but it's also not a real cart.

Sure it would, if the hens were housed in there.

No, an object..it's generally accepted... is referred to by it's primary purpose/use/assigned name.

A car pulled by horses is still referred to as a car "look at that car being pulled by a horse"

An aircraft where the 1st class section is occupied by chickens is still referred to as an aircraft "Look at those chickens lording it up in 1st class on that aircraft!"

    QED.

And yet if the aircraft was their home, it would be fine to say "the chickens went into their coop".

    Ez.

    Secondary isn't primary...

Again...primary use...if it's primary use was as a chicken coop then yes...the scenario I presented was an active aircraft also housing chickens...the primary use is still as an aircraft and so referring to something by it's primary use is the norm.

ETA: You don't say "Wow, look at that flying chicken coop!" you'd say "fucking lollocks, look at that plane full of chickens...EGGstordinary!"

    who cares about gay definitions

it seems little of the system's actual components have been made public even though it's been test-fired multiple times and deployed in small numbers to the strategic missile forces. I'll compile a list of what's known when I'm not on my phone but Andrei Martyanov is a good place to start:

Believing the latest military technology can be googled is being retarded.
