While the government has called upon the public to "exercise their own judgement", they have "strongly" advised against any social events for at least the next four weeks, discouraging people from holding private Christmas events. Gibraltar has seen a steady increase in active cases of COVID-19 throughout October and November, which has gained pace over the past few days.
…
Gilbraltar currently mandates mask-wearing in all shops, medical establishments, airports, enclosed places of worship and on public transport.
Close contacts of an active case are also required to wear a mask when out in public, in the workplace, shopping or using public transport.
In March, Gibraltar became the first nation in the world to fully vaccinate its entire adult population against coronavirus.
Gibraltar - with a population of approximately 34,000 people - has had 6,509 coronavirus and 98 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

This is just unexplainable, isn't it?
Who can we blame now?

I got my recovery certificate, so now I have a vaccination certificate and a recovery certificate.
The irony is not lost on me.

The recovery cert is valid for 180 days, the vaccination certificate doesn't expire, which just shows how much ¡SCIENCE! went into the whole thing.

I was one of the first people to wear a mask (always N95 or better) out, but the evidence shows they don't do much, even the N95s, so I view them as a nuisance and wear those cheap blue paper ones (which don't do anything anyway).
Exception is on a plane, I generally try to wear a two masks there, one N95 with a respirator valve, and then a blue one to cover up the respirator valve (I got ordered to do that recently by an air steward).

I don't really get the aversion to masks in most cases; they're nowhere near as risky or as much of a violation as mandatory IM shots
I do wonder though how constant mask wearing will affect social development in young children - being unable to see/interpret facial expressions at a young age is likely to lead to higher numbers of kids with autism-like symptoms

So all those people in Asia that have been wearing masks for the past 30 years are just stupid I guess
