   They create crimes, frame their political enemies, and do not investigate or bring charges against their allies. It is an agency which was built on the corrupt power grabbing efforts of J. Edgar Hoover. It is no wonder it has become the secret police of the leftist Marxists who seek to destroy this nation from within.

   It won't solve any problems; the government will just rebrand them.
   
   The CIA's charter literally precludes them from operating inside the US, but they kept getting caught doing it so what did they do? They created the NSA as an offshoot for domestic work. And they continued domestic operations anyway. Even the Church Commission only paused their operations.
   
   The federal government doesn't want its agencies to have too much oversight because they'd lose plausible deniability. They want to be able to do unpopular things without being held accountable.

   if you want them held to account, the only two possibilities I can think of are
   
   clear chain of command, oversight and accountability for the politicians who give them their orders (good luck getting that law passed)
   
   or
   
   cut down the federal government and give more power to the states

   You need to spend every penny, and MORE MORE MORE if you want to keep drugs illegal. Because drugs don't bring themselves in, they are brought in by CRIMINALS that cross state lines.
   
   If you want less criminals crossing state lines then deregulate the economy. They are focusing on economic crimes instead of violent ones like human traffickers.
   
   And they would have a lot more resources to deal with real crimes if they weren't stuck chasing bullshit like The Silk Road.
